• OnRamp Access supports its customer service activities with a range of hardware and software products. On the hardware side, OnRamp Access is a fully authorized VAR for Sun Microsystems, Cisco, Ascend Communications, Compaq, Digital Equipment Corp, AST Computer, 3Com, and Deltec Power Systems. In addition, we have access to any other hardware items an Internet solution may require. All hardware products and accessory equipment represented by, and distributed through, OnRamp Access are fully covered by the original manufacturer's warranty.
• On the software side, we represent iChat, SunSoft, Checkpoint, Guardian, On Technology, Webstalker, QuickMail, Real Audio and Netscape…to name a few. In addition, we are constantly evaluating new software products to address our customer's network security, wide area communications and Internet/Intranet needs.

Network Engineering

• OnRamp Access offers complete network security consultations and security solutions ranging from creating security procedures and protocols, through a range of firewall/proxy server options, to highly secure encrypted WAN (Wide Area Network) and VPN (Virtual Private Network) communication systems.
• While the Internet was created as a communications and collaboration tool for use by the nation's research and military infrastructure, private industry has made relatively little use of the Net in general, and the Web in specific for these purposes. In fact, private industry still makes heavy use of relatively slow 56K leased lines for corporate data communication. However, there is a growing trend towards using the Internet as a Virtual Private Network through the use of encrypted transmission of data and creating private Internet sites (Intranets) for employee, vendor and member communications and collaboration. OnRamp Access has a full range of services aimed accessing the Internet comprehensively for wide area communications and in creating corporate Intranets.

Web Site Production

• OnRamp has created or helped to create over 500 Web sites and pages since its inception. These have ranged from the fairly simple to complex, multifaceted sites with high degrees of back-end programming. Our graphic artists and computer programmers have created some of the finest Web sites to be found anywhere in the world today. The OnRamp Web production team is especially experienced in the development of sites for political, governmental and military agencies. • OnRamp Access offers two basic hosting plans for Web servers. We either host a Web site on one of our UNIX or NT servers or host our clients privately owned hardware/software systems. In the first arrangement, OnRamp Access provides for all the maintenance of the hardware and software and ensures the site is accessible 24 hours a day. Regardless of who created the site, OnRamp Access guarantees the site is sound and reliable to prevent any one site from negatively impacting any other site. In the second arrangement, OnRamp Access provides switched Ethernet access to its Internet Network, physical space for the server, conditioned UPS power and reasonable client access for updates and service issues during our normal technical support business hours. In addition, OnRamp Access can provide any level of support beyond these basic levels to full turnkey support.

Internet Connectivity Services

• OnRamp Access offers businesses, professionals and associations a broad range of high quality connection choices. Our dedicated connections span from 56-kbits/sec to over 1.5-Mbits/sec. Our most popular dedicated connections are our ISDN, Fractional T1 and Full T1 interfaces. All of our connections are through numerable T1 trunks laced across multiple major backbones (both Sprint and MCI). This technique insures that our customers continue to receive services even if one of our national backbone providers happens to go down. In addition, our border router constantly searches each, to select the backbone that will provide the fastest routing of each message. In addition to Internet connectivity of any size bandwidth, OnRamp will also act as agent to secure the proper dedicated line from the telephone company, to ensure total turnkey service in every area of constant high-speed access.
• Our internal network consists of the finest hardware and equipment carefully selected for performance, reliability and compatibility. Our entire network system is automatically backed up via a high-speed tape on a tri-daily basis. Also, several uninterrupted power sources (industrial UPS batteries) and a 40Kva natural gas generator assure negative down-time in the event of power shortage by municipal utilities. All of our servers and network components are on active 24-hour automated monitoring. This robotic system notifies our administrators and key network personnel within three minutes of any failure or significant event.
